All research labs are expected to have certain documents that are available to all researchers from the lab space, either physically or via a group database. The following documents should be available at a minimum:
Lab-specific training and training records
Standard Operating Procedures for any activities that involve hazardous material or equipment
Waste disposal procedures
Emergency protocols
Additionally, if a lab uses any chemicals, it is required to have accessible Safety Data Sheets for all chemicals used in the space as well as a Chemical Hygiene Plan.
