NOTE: Before you proceed with your course please make sure you read and understand general laboratory guidelines for Electrical and Computer Engineering department undergraduate teaching labs listed, here.
This course is an introduction to design, construction, and characterization of digital circuits containing logic gates, sequential elements, oscillators, and digital integrated circuits. Students are also introduced to digital design and simulation with the Verilog Hardware Description Language (HDL). Students will utilize basic measurement techniques and electrical laboratory equipment (power supplies, oscilloscopes, voltmeters, etc.). Below is a list of equipment that you will use in this course. You will find necessary manuals, troubleshooting guides, and FAQs about this equipment on the respective pages. In addition to the equipment listed below, you will be using Xilinx ISE Design software and PSpice. Please review the tutorials on this software as a primer for your coursework in Verilog.
In addition to this equipment, you will have a set of components most commonly used in this lab at your workstations. Replace them in proper order and in proper location. For each laboratory you will have a component box assigned for each workstation. Ensure the components in this box are in order as listed on the label to the side of the box. Make sure you replace the box at the end of the lab. If any component is missing from the box, please notify your lab instructor or Teaching Assistant immediately.
